Gala is a wonderful early season apple with a reddish-orange skin striped over a yellow background. This popular apple settles on a rich flavour accompanied by crisp, dense, and aromatic flesh that is a fantastic combination sweet and tart. Requires 600 chilling hours to set fruit. Tip bearing. Braeburn: Medium-to-large fruit. Skin is green, shaded red. Firm, crisp & very juicy. Keeps well. Partial tip bearer � not recommended for espalier. Late season, ripens April/May.
