A large, orange-red, russeted heritage apple. It is very popular in Europe as a cooking and fresh eating apple. Apple is firm and crisp, with a full, tart flavour. It is very aromatic and gets sweeter in storage. Stores for 3-4 months or more. Forms an open, wide-spreading and weeping tree. Spur bearing, crops mid to late season. Flowering Gp. 3(Cox's Orange Pippin, Gala, Granny Smith).Triploid(needs two pollination partners nearby which must both be of different varieties and able to cross-pollinate each other as well as the Belle de Boskoop).
